Uwell Caliburn G5 Lite vs Vaporesso XROS 6 Mini
These are the two kits we hand to someone who says "I just want something simple." Both are small, both are light, both fire when you inhale so there is no button to learn. The Caliburn G5 Lite and the XROS 6 Mini are as close to cigarette-simple as refillable vaping gets.
Here is what actually separates them.
The XROS 6 Mini has the bigger battery
The 6 Mini runs a 1600mAh battery, which is large for a device this size and noticeably more than most pocket kits in this class. If your day is long, or you are the sort of person who forgets to charge things, that matters more than any other difference on this page.
The G5 Lite is the smaller, lighter device in the hand. If you want something that disappears in a pocket, it wins.
The pod platforms are not equal
This is the real decision, and it outlasts the device.
The XROS 6 Mini takes standard XROS pods — the same pods as every other XROS, from the original through to the Pro 2 and the Cube. Every UK vape shop stocks them, we keep them behind both counters, and they will still be on shelves in five years.
The Caliburn G5 Lite sits in Uwell's G-series. Caliburn pods are notoriously not interchangeable across the whole Caliburn family — the A-series and the G-series are different platforms, and the G models have changed cartridges between generations. They are easy enough to buy from us, but it is a narrower shelf than XROS, and it is the thing to check before you commit.
If you want the widest, safest, most boring supply of pods available in the UK, that is XROS.
Draw
Both are mouth-to-lung — the tight, cigarette-like draw a smoker expects. The Caliburn is the tighter of the two out of the box, which some ex-smokers prefer. The XROS is a fraction airier.
Neither will feel like a cloud machine, and that is the point. If either feels too loose, dropping to a higher-resistance pod tightens it up.
Which to buy
Buy the XROS 6 Mini if you want the longer battery, the wider pod supply, or you might add a second XROS later. For most first-time buyers this is the safer pick, and it is the one we recommend most often.
Buy the Caliburn G5 Lite if you want the smallest, lightest thing in your pocket and the tightest draw, and you are happy to buy G-series pods.
Before you leave the shop
Whichever you pick, take spare pods and a 20mg nic salt if you are coming off cigarettes. Those two things determine whether you are still vaping in a month far more than which of these devices you chose.
