Cool covers menthol, mint and everything sold as "ice". It splits into two groups worth understanding before you buy.

True menthol and mint lead with the flavour itself — spearmint, peppermint, straight menthol. Iced blends are a fruit or sweet base with a cooling agent added, which is why you will see the same flavour listed twice, once plain and once as "ice". The cooling agent adds sensation rather than taste, so an iced mango still tastes of mango; it just arrives colder.

Cooling is the most divisive thing in vaping. Some people find a heavy freeze harsh in the throat, particularly at 20mg nic salt in a tight MTL pod. If you are unsure, start with a light menthol rather than an extreme ice, or drop a strength.

One practical advantage: menthol tends to be kind to coils and does not leave the residue that dessert flavours do. It is also the easiest category to come back to after flavour fatigue — a clean menthol resets the palate when everything else has started tasting the same.
