The Vaporesso Vibe SE 2 is the cheapest way we know to stop buying disposables. There is no button, no screen and nothing to set up - you inhale and it fires. The only thing you do differently is fill it yourself, and that is the part that turns a weekly spend into a monthly one.

What lifts it above the price is the pod. Every Vibe pod has two mesh coils stacked inside it, and the slider on the side decides how they are used. Eco fires one mesh at a time and alternates between them puff by puff, for a cooler, tighter draw that makes both the battery and the pod last. Power fires both together, up to 28W, for a warmer and fuller one. Same pod, same juice, two genuinely different vapes.

Is it the right first refillable?

If you are coming off disposables, yes. It is the closest thing to one that you actually refill - it fires on the inhale exactly like a single-use does, the pod tops up in a couple of seconds, and a coloured light tells you where the battery is. There is nothing to learn and nothing to set.

Which pod should I be on?

The 0.6Ω / 0.8Ω pod comes in the box and is the all-rounder - it suits 10mg salts and 50/50 shortfills. The 0.7Ω / 1.0Ω pod is tighter and cooler, and that is the one to ask for if you are on 20mg nic salts and want the draw closest to a cigarette. Changing between them takes seconds, and both give you two coils to play with.

Battery, charging and the cable

The 1400mAh battery will see most people through a day in Eco mode. One thing worth knowing before you get home: Vaporesso does not put a USB-C cable in the box. Any phone cable will do it, and we keep them at the counter if you need one. It charges at 1A, so treat it as an overnight job rather than a ten-minute top up.
