OXVA vs Vaporesso: Which Brand Should You Buy Into?
Between them, OXVA and Vaporesso account for most of the refillable pod kits we sell. If you are choosing your first proper kit, you are almost certainly choosing between these two brands whether you realise it or not.
And you are not really choosing a device. You are choosing a pod shelf you will be buying from for the next few years.
What each brand is good at
Vaporesso build for simplicity and consistency. The XROS line has run for years and every device in it — Pro, Mini, Nano, Cube, and the newest XROS 6 — shares one pod. That is unusual and genuinely valuable. Their Luxe X range does the same job a step up in size.
OXVA build for control. The Xlim range gives you more adjustability at the same money, more screens, and more variants — Pro, Ultra, Go, SQ — plus the newer NeXlim line. If you like to tune things, OXVA gives you more to tune.
Crudely: Vaporesso is the safer default, OXVA is the enthusiast's default. Both are well made.
The pod platforms
This is the bit worth understanding properly.
Vaporesso XROS is one pod across the whole range. Buy any XROS, buy XROS pods, done. It is the simplest platform in UK vaping and the hardest to get wrong.
OXVA Xlim is one pod (Xlim V3) across the Xlim family — wide, but OXVA also run the NeXlim line alongside it, and NeXlim takes its own cartridges. There is no "NeXlim Pro", which trips up a lot of people searching. So with OXVA you need to know which family you are in.
Neither brand's pods fit the other's. Ever.
Which suits you
Go Vaporesso if: you want to buy it, fill it and forget it; you want the widest and simplest pod supply; or you might add a second, smaller device later and want to share pods.
Go OXVA if: you want a screen and adjustable wattage at a lower price than the equivalent Vaporesso; you like top-filling; or you enjoy fiddling with settings to suit a flavour.
Go with whatever is already in your house. We say this constantly and mean it. Two people sharing a pod platform is worth more than every difference above put together.

Every one of those takes a nic salt happily. If you are coming off cigarettes, start on 20mg and step down later.
One last thing
Do not buy a brand because a review site scored it higher. Buy the one whose pods you can walk in and get on a Sunday afternoon. Both of these pass that test in Northampton, which is exactly why we stock them.
