The Vaporesso Vibe SE is the original Vibe: 1100mAh, no button, no screen and nothing at all to set up. You inhale and it fires, you fill the pod yourself, and that is the entire device. It is still one of the easiest ways off disposables we have ever sold.

The clever part is the pod rather than the body. Every Vibe pod has two mesh coils stacked inside it. Slide down for Eco and it fires one at a time, alternating between them puff by puff, for a cooler and tighter draw that makes both the battery and the pod last. Slide up for Power and it fires both together, warmer and fuller. The same slider trims the airflow as it moves, and a coloured light on the body tells you what charge is left.

Looking for the current model?

This is the earlier kit. The one we stock now is the Vaporesso Vibe SE 2, which has a larger 1400mAh battery and a little more power in hand. It takes the same Vibe dual mesh pods as this one, so if you already own a Vibe SE nothing in your drawer is wasted by moving up.

Which pod should I be on?

The 0.7Ω / 1.0Ω pod is the tighter, cooler one and the closest thing here to a cigarette draw, which makes it the pod for 20mg nic salts. The 0.6Ω / 0.8Ω pod is warmer and more open, better suited to 10mg salts and 50/50 shortfills. Both hold two coils, so either one gives you a choice of draw from the slider.

Charging, and the cable

USB Type-C at 1A into an 1100mAh battery, which is a comfortable day for most people in Eco mode. Worth knowing: Vaporesso does not include a cable with this kit. Any phone cable does the job, and we keep them at the counter.
